Although its beginnings were in Castro, Chiloé, today VIG is based in Puerto Varas, Chile. Remaining as a family holding company, it invests in real estate assets (residential, commercial, and industrial, in Chile and the United States), leases heavy-duty cranes, buys and sells heavy machinery and construction materials, including import&export.
Since its foundation, VIG’s reputation has been consistently growing, which we consider our greatest asset.
Today, with the first generation in retirement (but always supporting us with their wise advice) and the second generation fully engaged in the business, along with our presence in various industries in both Chile and the United States, Vista Investment Group has become a symbol of tradition, reputation, frugality, experience, energy, and calculated risk. We hope to contribute to making a better world for all those around us.
Always linked to the transportation industry (affectionately referred to as 'fierros' in Chilean slang). Then came the real estate sector, which led us to internationalize, entering the U.S. market in 2021.
With a lot of vision, the founding partners began to purchase urban land in expanding areas of the city. Over time, this nascent business would become a vital part of the Holding.
Due to demand from other provinces in the region, LINAHUA relocated to Puerto Montt in 1993. From then on, and thanks to our customers' preference for the service and support we provide in all our operations, combined with the sustained industrial growth experienced in the southern region of the country, we were able to grow, always anticipating the new market demands.
The flagship company of the Group is undoubtedly Grúas LINAHUA, which was founded in 1991 in the city of Castro, Chiloé Island, out of the specific need to provide lifting and transportation services for heavy and bulky equipment. In those years, the company had only two pieces of equipment.
Vista Investment Group was founded in 1969 thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit of its founder, Enrique. Several years later, his wife, Tatiana, joined him. Both, starting from scratch, will create a successful business group based in Southern Chile.
